Being odd, My musical journey as a youth went straight from Dvorjak to Bowie. Then a couple of years ago some-one told ne David Bowie was folk! What say you, folk music man of the 21st century?

ps i once went to a folk concert ( Cropredy) on of those ones where you stay in tents( I was in love!)... and wore a piece of brightly coloured clothe wrapped around my ample form all weekend...it was lovely( sunny) the music was all right, the people danced a bit oddly ( up and down arythmically) and black peeps were a rare ( 3: 1000)..but I had a great time all in all...weed, sex and sun

Details like that would have ruined the rhythm of the piece. The answer is as high as required for dancing. The exact type of dancing is left to the imagination. Therein lies the comedy (if there was any at all). An exact measure of skirt hitching from slight to greyhound (and beyond) would not be appropriate or indeed fit in a limerick.

The limerick had nothing to do with Mooning, I don't know what the good lady refers to! It was fictional, and slightly rude (as all the best limericks should be), and only hinted in the mildest of fashions to soliciting, and even then in a metaphorical sense.
